The Tools for Open Research and Computation with HathiTrust: Leveraging Intelligent Text Extraction (TORCHLITE) project is developing a suite of APIs for accessing HTRC’s Extracted Features dataset. Using the new APIs and the Extracted Features (EF) data, the project is also developing a data dashboard and Jupyter notebooks for visualizing and analyzing subsets of the HathiTrust Digital Library collection.
The TORCHLITE Hackathon, hosted by HTRC at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will bring together scholars, practitioners, and developers to brainstorm and develop new visualizations, notebooks, and other tools that make utilize the TORCHLITE APIs and EF data.
